Asian Coalition of Tallahassee (ACT) a not-for-profit corporation serving the interest of Asians in Tallahassee under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3).
   
  To unite the Asian Communities in the Big Bend Area and promote the Asian culture.
   
  - To solicit active participation and support from Asian communities and other interested parties in Asian affairs.
- To enhance cultural, social, and economic ties among Asians and Americans.
- To actively support charitable, educational and humanitarian causes
- To advocate for Asian issues and interests.
- To participate in community activities to promote Asian awareness.

Learning about the ancient traditions of Asian culture. Music, dance, arts, crafts, and of course, various Asian cuisine will be featured.

Representatives from the Chinese, Filipino, Indian, Japanese, Korean, Persian, Sri Lankan, Taiwanese, and Thai communities will be on hand to share traditions and practices unique to each culture.


 
 

Indian Independence Day Celebration & Utsav Cultural Program

India Association of Tallahassee (IATLH; http://www.iatlh.org) will be celebrating the 61st Anniversary of Indian Independence Day with the regular protocol of flag unfurling and rendering of the Indian and American National Anthems. There will be speeches about Indian Freedom Fighters and patriotic songs. Following the Independence Day celebration, IATLH is organizing a variety non-film entertainment program (Utsav). Please come with your family and enjoy an after noon full of free entertainment and activities. During this event we will also announce the winners of the Children's Art Competition.
