Meeting Highlights:
February 27, 2010 – Pot luck and other Food provided
by ACT. Officers and Board of Directors are required to be
at The Globe at 4:00 P.M.
The party starts at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:30 pm. There will
be a big Filipino representation at the party since the organization
had Filipino High School Students visitors who will be competing
in Valdosta, Georgia, first week of March 2010.
2010 Census Initiative: Questionnaires will be sent out by
March 2010.
Asian American Federation of Florida – ACT is the lead
organization for the Northwest Florida. All organizations
are encouraged to have activities to promote Census 2010 and
AAFF will reimburse them $ 250.00 for their activities.
Springtime Tallahassee 2010: March 27, 2010. Salim registered
3 teams (90 people) excluding the Dragon Performers. Need
to wear National Costumes. At least 10 people per member organization.
Clyde will take care of borrowing flags for the events.
FSU International Bazaar: March 27, 2010 from 2:00 –
6:00. Need performers and display booths. Deadline to participate
at the International Bazaar is February 12, 2010.
Asian Awareness Month Celebration is Saturday May 15 at The
Globe. The Asian Student Union will be celebrating their Asian
Awareness Month in March 2010. The event will be inside the
Globe.
Promoting Asian Studies/Cultures in Leon County Schools. Florida
A&M University is having an International Event on Friday,
February 26 from 6-9 PM and Maclay School will be on March
12, from 12-3 PM.
Experience Asia 2010 – October 2, 2010. Need to start
planning. October 9, 2010 will be our back up plan in case
of inclement weather. Food vendors will be along West Park
Avenue.

Demographic Profile Study in Tallahassee: Ralph Brower, PhD.
Documentary Film About ACT be Seda Grigoryan. Clyde suggested
to Cindy to invite Seda to attend the ACT Party on February
27, 2010.
