The Asian American Heritage Celebration, sponsored by the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee (ACT) turned out to be a great success. A few hundred visitors came to the FSU Museum of Fine Arts for the Celebration. The dancers and performers highlighted the event. They performed beautifully, portraying the varied and rich Asian cultures that exist in Tallahassee. Although this was the first time we celebrated this occasion at the FSU Museum of Fine Arts, the venue was excellent and thanks to Dr Viki Wylder, her crew and the FSU Museum of Fine Arts. Our very own Asian American artists also displayed their amazing art works, reflecting their talents and skills.
In light of this, I would like to thank the performers, the artists, Dr Viki Wylder and her staff, and the officers and board of directors of the Asian Coalition of Tallahassee who made this event a success. I would also like to thank those that brought finger foods for the guests. While the event was relatively short, the performance was non-stop and there was never a dull moment.
Now, let us prepare for the big event - Experience Asia on October 14, 2017. This will be another major challenge. But I have a lot of faith and confidence that we can have another successful event that residents of Tallahassee and the surrounding counties will enjoy.
